Kitchens are one of those rooms that can easily get cluttered but that most of us would prefer to stay clean and tidy.
In fact, a survey carried out in the US by MasterBrand Cabinets found that 81 per cent of homeowners can’t relax properly if their kitchen is untidy.
More than half (56 per cent) also admitted that they’d enjoy cooking and preparing food more if their kitchen wasn’t so untidy, while 36 per cent said that having a more organised kitchen would mean they were more likely to host social gatherings at home.
Director of design and trends at the company Stephanie Pierce said that if there’s just one thing for homeowners to focus on when designing their new kitchen, it’s storage.
“The number one regret we hear, without a doubt, is not including enough organisational options,” she asserted.
To truly tailor this space to suit your needs, it’s worth paying for luxury bespoke kitchens in London to ensure that you have all the storage space you need, as well as a kitchen that ticks all of your boxes in terms of aesthetics, food preparation space and room for social gatherings.
Countertop clutter was named as the top thing that makes a kitchen look untidy, with 60 per cent of those surveyed saying that it’s this that causes them the most stress. Large appliances, such as stand-up mixers, were named as the most difficult items to store.
Although bespoke kitchens cost more than those you buy pre-designed, they give you so much more flexibility and can help you solve all the issues you have with kitchen clutter – such as where to store those awkward appliances.
